Mike Hedge

CEM, CEAIT — Senior Engineer

Mike is senior engineer with a background in mechanical optimization, commissioning, energy auditing and economic analysis of competing projects and designs. Before joining Cx Associates, Mike was the commissioning project manager for the Pacific Guardian Tower Chiller Plant Optimization project which received and Energy Award from the Association of Energy Engineers and a $160,000 rebate from Hawaii Energy. He was also a senior consultant for the post-construction, mechanical and building envelope testing for the Millennium Tower in San Francisco. Mike has a BA in Economics with a specialty in Finance from Rutgers University. He promotes Life Cycle Cost Analysis (LCCA) to show the financial impact when costlier, energy efficient options are considered over lowest-first-cost projects and designs. Mike, who is based in the Portland, Maine area, joined Cx Associates in October 2020 and is providing commissioning services for several CxA projects, including L.L. Bean’s new facility in Freeport, Maine.
