Matt Napolitan

P.E., CCP, BCxP, LEED AP BD+C — Managing Principal

Matt Napolitan is a mechanical engineer with more than 24 years of experience in energy efficient building design and operations. His commissioning experience ranges from major renovations, new construction, and retrocommissioning of commercial and industrial, educational, health care, and military facilities.  To name just a few, he has successfully completed commissioning on projects at Maine Medical Center, Middlebury College, Stowe Mountain Lodge, the University of Vermont and buildings for Champlain College, including the LEED Platinum Certified Perry Hall. His ability to closely collaborate with installers, programmers, owners, operators, engineers, and architects allows him to fully leverage his breadth and depth of knowledge around HVAC systems and their control. Matt’s expertise and attention to detail afford him the ability to identify efficiency and operational opportunities during planning and design that would otherwise go untapped and would be unaffordable to retrofit once a project is completed. Matt brings a well-rounded perspective to any project that enables him to bridge the gaps between owners, operators, engineers, and installers.

Prior to joining Cx Associates he was the project manager for mechanical engineering design on several major projects, including the New York Times' headquarters in Manhattan.
